B-Fabric Satellite Apps
Who?
ETH Zurich, is a Swiss Technical University, with a variety of Life-Science laboratories to manage. This project assisted ETH in integrating data from different sources into their data management software: B-Fabric
What Industry?
These applications were built for a Genomics laboratory in Life-Science
When?
GWC and ETHZ begain working together in late 2023. This project is continually ongoing.
The Development Journey
Planning
ETH Zurich already had a robust back-end framework, against which we needed to authenticate our applications.
The planning stage was a collaborative process by which we co-developed a new authentication paradigm for their central data-management software.
iNITIAL Implementation
After roughly 3 months, the first satellite application is developed, and fully integrated with the data management paradigm of B-Fabric: ETH Zurich's in-house laboratory data management software.
Iteration
GWC and ETHZ teams work together to iterate, and continue development of several more satellite applications now implemented for their genomics core facility.
refactor
Application paradigm is refactored and iterated for scalability. This is done in constant collaboration with the team at ETH.

To this day we've completed over 15 satellite apps (and counting!) for ETH Zurich.
